Propulo Consulting is seeking a dynamic and organized Instructional Designer to support the growth of our business both in existing and new international markets. 

The main purpose of this position is to design, develop and implement learning solutions that meet the needs of Propulo Consulting and its clients.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop learning solutions
  • Design and develop learning and development solutions predominantly in instructor-led training, workshops and webinars
  • Create solutions that meet participant’s learning needs and client’s business needs
  • Develop effective and collaborative working relationships with clients
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
2. Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Other projects as needed
3. Communication with management team
  • Support our CEO and Partners
  • Analyze and evaluate data or support report development, client presentations and proposals
  • Research and support the development of client project, white papers and blogs
4. Our Team
  • Contribute positively to the Propulo culture and brand by living the Propulo values
  • Support our CEO and Partners in consulting engagements as well as internal engagements, operations and project management functions
  • Contribute to Propulo’s team-based approach to business

Qualifications & Experience

  • BS or MA degree in Instructional Design, adult learning or educational fields
  • Proficient in English – Excellent written communication skills and the ability to adapt your writing style to the delivery format and/or to address specific audience needs
  • A minimum of 3-4 years designing and developing learning solutions in a range of delivery formats, particularly instructor-led training
  • Experience with Safety Leadership, Culture and Leadership portfolios

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven working experience in instructional design
  • Ability to assess a client’s needs and recommend an effective learning solution
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Ability to lead client meetings, projects and initiatives
  • Proficiency in computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
  • Have an agile, growth-oriented mindset
  • Purpose driven and proven results-orientation
  • Detailed oriented and capable of conducting self-directed research
  • Demonstrate attitudes of accountability, vulnerability, and a willingness to learn
  • Be committed to integrity within a professional environment

Working conditions and requirements

    • Each Propulo team member works out of their virtual home office located near a major airport hub in either the United States or Canada. Propulo Consulting is fully committed to providing equal opportunities to all.
    • This role might require occasional business travel (10-20%) once safe travel resumes. Until then, all work is conducted remotely.
